Falconry is the highest regulated Field sport in the United States. Listed below are some of the government agencies and laws that pertain to the practice and over site of Falconry in Michigan and the United States.
Laws
Currently Michigan is operating under the Old Federal Falconry Regulations. On October 8, 2008 the following New Federal Falconry Regulations were approved by the federal government but have yet to be adopted by the State. Michigan has until January 1, 2014 to implement the new regulations. Anyone studying for their exam or practicing falconry should remember the old regulation is the current law in Michigan and can be found at the following links (Title 50 part 21 section 21.28 & Title 50 part 21 section 21.29).
